LOCKDOWN LANDSCAPES

Leaf it to me to create something special

During lockdown in 2020, I had the pleasure of creating a series of illustrations for a local family. They wanted me to capture some of the special places they had discovered and walked to during that time, including Riverside Park, St. Denys Church, and Bitterne Park Triangle. They also asked me to include an NHS rainbow to show their appreciation for the hard work of healthcare workers during the pandemic.

I had previously illustrated St. Denys Church a couple of years earlier, so it was a joy to revisit it. I enjoyed exploring these places with fresh eyes and capturing their unique character in my illustrations.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have created these illustrations for the family. I hope that my drawings will bring them joy and remind them of the special moments they shared during lockdown.

THE BRIEF

Create three accurate and artistic digital illustrations of meaningful places explored during lockdown. Deliverables: three illustrations of locations explored by a local family, suitable for printing/framing. . Final illustrations delivered in high-resolution digital format as a tribute to places that brought joy and hope during lockdown.
